lyrics

Verse 1:
A sea of mellow dandelions; a man and his boys
would play outside every spring.
They sprung up every year oh what a sight to see.
Those boys they were becoming men.
Oh ooo oh what a beautiful family
I’ve seen throughout all the years.
The springtime brings the best memories
for me, but it’s time for me to leave.

Verse 2:
The mother would cast down her sails out on the line
where the wind would blow and stir every summer.
It was an annual affair for the white linen sails
to appear and finally see the breeze.
Oh ooo oh what a beautiful family
I’ve seen throughout all the years.
The summer brings the best memories
for me, but it’s time for me to leave.

Verse 3:
The tales from the day give laughs for the night
while the family comes in every fall.
The change in the air; the change in the leaves
reminds me of the change I’ve seen.
Oh ooo oh what a beautiful family
I’ve seen throughout all the years.
The autumn brings the best memories
for me, but it’s time for me to leave.

Verse 4:
Close the door and down the blinds for none to hear or see
the heart of a man; his anger and greed.
The shouts of he; the cries of her; continual arguing;
the lack of sleep; The lack of love.
Oh ooo oh all the truth coming out behind
the scenes. The blinds they don’t blind what I
perceive. There aren’t many good memories
at least not for me.
